读完了出航这本书之后，我感受到一股酸溜溜的感觉。作者描述了自己对孩子的期盼，就是带她出航。但过了这么多年，她始终为自己寻找借口，说自己怕被晒黑，会晕船等等理由来解说。终于有一天，孩子打应了。孩子就带了她的朋友一起出航。那位朋友竟然是她的男朋友，因为从他们坐得那么近，手紧紧扣在一起，就知道他们已经开始交往了。父亲看见这情景，心情有种刺痛的感觉，应该是认为这时的他即将要离开孩子的身边，有点舍不得。

当时有很多乘客在船上欣赏美丽的海景，但他却静静的坐在一旁，看着他们亲密的接触。他感觉到失去亲人的感觉，心里对那位男友难免有一点怨恨，因为他即将就要和孩子结婚，离开父亲的身边。这是该为乘客解说海豚在海上的动静。就在这个时候他看见了一对海豚正在交配的情景，他通常会为乘客解说，但今天却是例外。由于今天情绪低落，脑海里一直在重复着孩子交男朋友的情形。


在我的心里总觉得作者应该放下了，毕竟孩子长大了，总有一天一定会离开他的身边。假如孩子结婚了，她偶尔也可以回娘家探望父亲。但因为每个人都会有不同想法，至于作者，他放不下，也没想过要放下。其实孩子长大了，一定会结婚生子，根本无需担心，因为这是人生的阶段。我认为作者应该为孩子想到更远的未来。因为总有一天他会死去，照顾孩子的责任一再也不是由父亲来承担。



他要想到死了后，谁来照顾孩子？照理来说，应该是由自己的丈夫来承担责任。虽然心里难免会吃醋，不爽，但也要面对难题，不该逃避。假如他不放下，这会耽误到孩子的幸福及未来。例如孩子还没嫁，老了以后会成为高龄产妇。并且会危害自己的生命，毁了宝宝和自己的一生。这样的结果当然不是父亲想要看的结果。但一方面，又不舍得，所以放不下心中的大石。这心中的大石，难免会需要一段的时间才可以接受现实。



总的来说，天下父母心，我相信作者的孩子应该会理解为什么父亲会那么难受。作为孩子的我们应该先向父母亲说明自己有了对象，让父母亲做好心理准备。虽然会离开父母亲的身旁，但我们也可以让他们跟我们一起生活。对我来说我不会像其他孩子那么自私，为了让父母做家务，而让他们一起生活。这是不可理喻的想法。作为孩子的我们应该想到父母亲体力衰弱，不能做辛苦的家务。


终于，我真的希望作者能想通，不要耽误孩子的幸福。他要想到她的未来，并且祝他们永远幸福快乐。只要他肯愿意接受未来自己孩子的丈夫，他会觉得自己的决定是正确的。所谓的幸福，是应该先得到长辈的祝福，自己才会幸福美满。

• What are the parts that you agree with and what parts that you think can be better improved upon?

The most important how Singapore can improve is on the main 5 objectives:cost of living,jobs and income,housing,immigration,healthcare and ageing.I hope that the cost of living in singapore will remain stable.Example is that one bowl of chicken rice will be at least be $2.50.

Secondly is that the jobs and income will be at the maximum.I wish that the salaries between the foreigners and singaporeans is that their salaries will be exactly the same.It is to ensure that the government treated them fairly and equally.

Thirdly is that the housing price be at least $200,000.To ensure that all couple or singaporeans can afford to buy the house of their own.

Fourthly is the immigration.The government should control the number of foreigners coming to singapore to work.As long as halve of the foreigners get their jobs and singaporeans get their jobs too,then that will be fair for the graduating students as there will be ample jobs available for them.

Lastly is the healthcare and ageing.As long as the aged people can afford their own medical expenses,then they will be happy as they are able to pay for their medical fees,and not dependent on their children"s CPF.

If the political party or opposition party can maintain our standard and that we are happy for what they contribute to the society .In the next 5 years we will still support for them.

The most i totally agree is that Singapore"s security is well maintained.All parts of problems like theft, kidnap,molesty,etc.Singapore"s police force did their best to manage this problem at a limited time.Our safety is always quite safe as the police station at every residential area makes sure that police cases like molesty. They will quickly find ways to nab the molester.

Secondly is that singapore"s train(smrt),(Lrt) is so fast and so high technology.The train also have facilities that parts of the seats is reserved for the elderly.Elderly have the priviledge to have a seat in the train without standing to their final destinations.

In whole i agree to a large extent that the facilities and police force in singapore is well fostered and managed.But i disagree that the cost of living ,jobs and income,housing,immigration,healthcare and ageing is not well maintained as some singaporeans cannot afford the living expenses in singapore.

Different political groups

• What are the positions of the different political parties?

During PAP(people"s action party) 2006 the votes were 66 percent.But now in 2011 the total votes were 60 percent,this shows a 6 percent(40000) decrease in percentage of singaporeans voting for PAP.This also showed that more and more singaporeans supported the opposition party!What exactly is happening to the voters? I will tell you later on.

WP(worker"s party)have increased the number of voters since 2006 to 2011.This year 2011 ,they made a history!They won a GRC seat in Aljunied area.The reason for the voters to vote for the opposition party is due to the politics!Let"s go to the main idea of what exactly is happening to this society.

Firstly is cost of living in Singapore .You know last time ,around 2005 one bowl of chicken rice cost $2,but now in 2011 it cost $2.80.An $0.80 difference makes a lot of changes.


Secondly is due to immigration.More and more foreign workers come to singapore to work.Singaporeans cannot do anything if all the job vacancy is being occupied by the foreigners.

Thirdly is due to the housing.Last 10 years a 3 room flat cost $100,000 .now it cost $300,000.Most of the couples find it hard to afford a house.

Fourthly is due to healthcare and ageing.All people will go from young to old.For the older"s ones,they are worried about the cost of medical fee when they age and how to cope withe their financial problems?

Lastly is due to jobs and income.Normally foreign workers come cheaper than singaporeans,resulting in a ceiling on singaporean"s salaries.Can we have a minimum wage so our salaries at a level that allow us to keep up with rising cost.

• Why do you think this issue is of sufficient importance for you to research on?

Normally ,every 5 years singapore will hold the important general election.It is very important for me to resarch as it gives me some knowledge about politics.I need to know how the government resolve the problem of managing the cost of living,jobs and income,housing,immigration and healthcare and ageing.

I will be the future voter when i reached 21 years old.As a singaporean citizen ,i am very concerned about singapore government issues.Secondly i want to know how politics can help us in my daily lifes ,like how the government resolve my financial problems.

Thirdly i want to know how the government runs the economy, like how they manage the currency of our singapore and the cost of everyday products like bus fare.Fourthly i want to know how the government handle the immigrants, like to make sure their salary is able to support their own family.

Lastly with the knowledge of how government runs the society, i will be able to support my own choice of govenment in the next 5 years.
